and Welcome to J & J Catering and Event Planning! My name is
Joanne Akin, owner and founder of J & J Catering.
I started this business in late 1992, with a friend, who also loved to cook and
entertain. After doing parties and
weddings for friends for years, we decided to start
our own business and J & J Catering was born.
We implore you to indulge in a little fun and imagination. Look through our many photos and food productions to see what we can do for you! From this website you can view our many different types of food product items. When it comes to quality, our presentation surpasses the benchmark. Just meet with us and we'll have you dreaming and getting excited about the menu for your upcoming event! We have appeared on a local television day show called Talk of the Town, during a special wedding week. Along with me, my daughter Jennifer and her husband Alex run the business. I have had many wonderful comments sent back to me in the form of emails, thank-you cards, and letters. One comment specifically from a bride, Kara Hensel, whose wedding we catered commented, "J & J did exactly what it took to make my special day a dream come true, and it was all within our budget."
